The National Sports Center (NSC) in Blaine, Minnesota, is a premier sports complex encompassing over 600 acres of land dedicated to athletic development, competition, and recreation. Situated in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities, the NSC hosts a diverse array of sporting events, tournaments, and training programs throughout the year, including the Special Olympics USA Games in 2026, where it will serve as the venue for 6 of the 16 sports competitions, and one of three Fan Zones. Facilities include numerous soccer fields, hockey rinks, a golf course, and more, making it one of the largest amateur sports complexes in the world. The history of the NSC dates back to the late 1980s when the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission embarked on a mission to establish a state-of-the-art sports facility. In 1990, the NSC opened its doors, initially focusing on soccer but expanding over the years to accommodate a wide range of sports and activities. Today, the NSC stands as a hub for athletic excellence and community engagement, attracting athletes and spectators from across the nation and beyond.
