The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, a once-every-four-years national showcase of athletic excellence and inclusion, stands as a pinnacle event within the broader Special Olympics movement. As an independent Local Organizing Committee, we are dedicated to producing an unforgettable, world-class experience for athletes, volunteers, families, and supporters from Minnesota and across the nation, an experience that athletes eagerly anticipate as a highlight of their journey. To bring this vision to life, encompassing 16 team and individual sports, Unified competitions, special events, and the enriching programming that defines Special Olympics, we rely entirely on the generosity of corporate sponsors and individual donors. What methods of donation are acceptable?
However you choose to support us, there are multiple ways to donate, including: credit card payment, check, electronic funds transfer, gifts of stock, and donor-advised funds (DAF). Please email Giving@2026usagames.org with additional questions.
Is this donation tax deductible?
2026 Special Olympics USA Games is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We’ll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
How can I upgrade my Club26 membership?
Once a Club26 member, any additional donations will be aggregated and will be used to upgrade your membership if a higher level is achieved. Should that occur, your incremental benefits will be automatically awarded.
What is the difference between a general donation and Club26?
A general donation is a one-time or recurring payment of less than $5,000, whereas Club26 is a series of membership tiers starting at $5,000 that offers members exclusive perks.
How can I claim my Club26 online store credit?
Once your donation is successfully completed, you will receive a promotional code via email as soon as the donation is processed. If you donated via mailed check, please contact us at giving@2026usagames.org to receive your promo code. This promo code is for use on our online store only, and cannot be redeemed at other retail spaces.
How will I be notified of special events or invitations?
Club26 members will be provided regular emails and updates on upcoming events. Be sure to opt-in to be on the mailing list at checkout!
Inclusion Through Sport – The 2026 USA Games:
The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games—scheduled for June 20-26, 2026 across Minnesota’s Twin Cities—is a celebration of inclusivity, changing perceptions and the ability of the human spirit rising above limitations. The USA Games will be one of the biggest U.S. sporting events of the year, drawing tens of thousands of fans to celebrate the ability of over 3,000 incredible athletes from all 50 states as they compete in approximately 16 Olympic-type team and individual sports.
Healthier Athletes:
“Healthy Athletes” is a Special Olympics program focused on addressing challenges that persons with ID face daily with access to health services. Free health screenings including vision, dental, hearing, mental health, nutrition, and fitness are provided to athletes during the Games – And your donation will help us to continue these services within the state of Minnesota.
Inclusive Workplaces:
We want to see the inclusivity of sport move to the workforce, empowering athletes to use their unique talents and strengths to align with their aspirations and needs, impacting how employers hire and employ those with ID. Your donation will help us develop sustainable activities that will reset the trajectory of inclusive employment.
Youth Initiatives:
Creating opportunities for youth with and without intellectual disabilities to become agents of change within their school, community, and state is a top priority. We support meaningful involvement that provides an important foundation for young students to be offered leadership roles through such major initiatives as Unified Champion Schools.
