Ridder Arena
Ridder Arena is a premier ice hockey facility located on the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis. Opened in 2002, it is the first arena in the nation specifically built to host a collegiate women’s hockey program, serving as the home of the Minnesota Golden Gophers women’s hockey team. Named in honor of Bob Ridder and his wife, Kathleen, whose philanthropy and advocacy helped make the arena possible, Ridder Arena features top-tier amenities, including seating for over 3,400 fans, modern locker rooms, and training facilities. Over the years, it has hosted numerous high-profile events, including NCAA Women’s Frozen Four tournaments, showcasing its reputation as a world-class venue.
