The momentum was absolutely unstoppable on Wednesday, June 24th, as the 2026 USA Games reached a thrilling competitive crossroads. On the fields and courts, high-stakes team sports wrapped up their intense group stages, hurtling full throttle toward the highly anticipated finals. Meanwhile, the energy boiled over into pure celebration as medal rounds concluded several other sports. Adding to the day’s unforgettable moments, WWE Superstar Chad Gable brought a massive burst of adrenaline to the courts, surprising powerlifting athletes with high-fives and words of encouragement.
The magic only amplified off the field. The National Sports Center hosted the third and final day of the superhero-themed Young Athletes Festival, sending the next generation of champions off in style, complete with cuddles from the beloved Champ the Dog. Over at the Thrivent Fan Fest, the party was officially popping off. Fans were treated to an epic mascot dance-off hosted by Walter Rouse—where the hometown favorite, Goldy Gopher, took home the crown—alongside a special appearance by Love on the Spectrum star Tanner Smith and a high-octane performance by hip-hop artist Nur-D. To wrap up an incredible day, the Games hosted its Family Movie Night inside the 3M Arena at Mariucci, giving athletes and their loved ones a chance to kick back, relax, and catch a special screening of the newly released box-office smash Toy Story 5.
