Dave Dorn holds the role of President/CEO of Special Olympics Minnesota, in addition to serving as an esteemed board member of the 2026 USA Games. As a lifelong Minnesotan and committed leader of the Special Olympics mission for almost 20 years, Dave was a driving force in bringing the 2026 USA Games to Minnesota.
My hopes and dreams for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games are that the Games shine a spotlight on the movement of inclusion, showing how it is for everyone, everywhere, at any time.
Together with his family of 7 children, the Dorns are engaged in all levels of the organization, including roles as Unified partners, volunteers, as well as athletes, His connection to the cause is based on his love for sports and driven by a desire to provide opportunities for his own child with an intellectual disability to experience the camaraderie of being part of a team. Dave hopes that the 2026 USA Games shines a spotlight on the movement of inclusion, showing how it is for everyone, everywhere, at any time.
