David Booth, an inspiring athlete and community advocate, serves as an Athlete Representative on the Board of Directors for the 2026 USA Games, bringing his dedication to the mission of inclusion and passion for sports to the forefront. Originally from North Dakota, David now lives in Richfield and is an active member of the Special Olympics Minnesota community, having been involved for the past five years and now serving on the board.
My hopes and dreams for the 2026 USA Games are to join as either an athlete or a volunteer, and help to build the experience of a lifetime for everyone involved.
David’s journey with Special Olympics Minnesota began with a love for softball, expanding into a remarkable involvement in four more sports, including basketball, poly hockey, tennis, and Topgolf. In 2023, David joined the 2026 USA Games Athlete Advisory Council and played a key role in helping to create the “Circle of Inclusion” logo for the Games. Looking ahead to 2026, David dreams of participating in the USA Games either as an athlete or a volunteer, aspiring to contribute to an experience that will leave a lasting impact on everyone involved.
