My hopes and dreams for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games are that the passion surrounding the Special Olympics organization is ignited for everyone involved, as my own passion has been reignited!

Roy’s connection to the Special Olympics movement is rooted in his past role as the CEO of the 1991 Special Olympics World Games held in Minnesota. This unique experience allowed him to witness firsthand the transformative power of sports and inclusion. Now, as he looks ahead to 2026, Roy is thrilled to be once again involved – with hopes for igniting the passion for the Special Olympics organization in everyone involved. His rekindled commitment is his driving force, propelling him to advocate for empowering and celebrating individuals with intellectual disabilities.
