Lonnie Snyder

Chief Technology and Information Officer

Lonnie Snyder is sharing his wealth of experience with the leadership team, including 27 years of nonprofit IT innovation, 8 years with Special Olympics International. He served as the Chief Information Officer for the USA Games in 2022, and is now ready to knock it out of the park once again in 2026!

Throughout his journey, Lonnie has demonstrated exceptional leadership, particularly in overseeing the Enterprise Systems and Health Technologies teams, managing a vast network of technology business systems. His passion for empowering grassroots organizations to leverage technology for their missions has created a ripple effect of positive change across the globe.

My hopes and dreams for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games are to use technology to deliver quality experiences and showcase the extraordinary abilities of Special Olympics athletes worldwide.

Lonnie’s personal connection to Special Olympics, the adoption of his three children, fuels his passion for inclusivity. As a driven leader, he aims to deliver quality experiences using technology, showcasing the exceptional abilities of Special Olympics athletes from around the country.
